CHAPTER  FIVE.  MIA AND THE BUTTERFLIES.  PART  ONE
Mummy loved working in her garden. She was always busy digging holes in the soil, planting new flowers and watering them each morning.
I also loved digging holes in the soil, but it made her very cross! Every time I dug a hole, she would chase me away. I couldn’t understand why I couldn’t join her with the digging? It seemed so much fun!
One day, after chasing me from the flowerbeds, I sulked quite a lot, so mummy came and sat next to me, giving my long floppy ears a tug and explained: “Mia, look at all these pretty flowers, they look so gay in all their different colours!”
“To be surrounded by the beauty of nature, is very healthy for your soul! I worked very hard to establish a beautiful garden. If you keep on digging holes, nothing will be left of this pretty scenery! Please Mia, you have more than enough space to play around in the garden.
Go and play with your ball!”
